National Kidney Services (NKS) is an organization in the Columbus area that collects your donations of used clothes and household items, then generates proceeds given directly to the National Kidney Foundation (NKF). NKF has been given a Four Star rating by Charity Navigator for its mission of preventing kidney disease, promoting organ donation, and providing support to families and patients affected by this illness.

By putting NKS and NKF at the top of your list of local charities, you’re ensuring that your donations are going into the right hands. And to make it as convenient as possible for you to donate, NKS has established a free donation pick up service for residents throughout Columbus and the surrounding areas, including:

So whether you want to make a book donation, get rid of some old clothing, or find a second home for you’re a TV, it’s easy to add your name and phone number to our regular donation pick up list. Just call 614-351-2900 or sign up online and one of our representatives will contact you every 4-6 weeks when donation pickups are being scheduled in your area. On the evening before your scheduled donation collection, pack your donations in bags or boxes labeled with “NKS” and set them outside in a clean, dry place where they will be visible from the road. All contributions to NKS are tax deductible*, and your pickup driver will leave a tax receipt for you upon collecting your donations.
