Donate Unwanted Items to Our Charity in the Charlotte Area

Donate UnwantedWhen you donate unwanted household items like used clothing, electronics, and household goods to National Kidney Services (NKS), you’re helping us raise awareness about chronic kidney disease and reduce the prevalence of this debilitating illness throughout North Carolina. We are a Charlotte area charity with the mission of supporting crucial kidney disease programs initiated by the National Kidney Foundation (NKF), which is a national health organization that has made great strides in educating the public about kidney disease and how it can be prevented with regular health screenings.

The proceeds generated from the unwanted items you donate go directly to NKF’s many programs, including:

  • Free kidney screenings and blood pressure tests for at-risk individuals
  • Initiatives for medical professionals to continue their education on kidney disease treatments
  • Free educational literature about kidney disease and early detection
  • Initiatives for Congress to expand legislation for kidney disease treatment options

When you donate unwanted items to our charity, your contributions are tax deductible*. We accept a wide range of used goods, including clothes, dishes, books, toys, furniture, antiques, collectibles, small appliances, and much more. We also offer free donation pickup service throughout Charlotte, Matthews, Davidson, Cornelius, Huntersville, Kannapolis, and all of the surrounding areas. Contact us at 704-393-5780 or sign up online to be added to our regular call list for donation collections. You can also bring your donations to any Value Village thrift department store in the Charlotte area.
