Donate and Get Pick Up Service for Free in Charlotte & Beyond

National Kidney Services (NKS) proudly offers complimentary pick up service when you donate to our charity. Whether you live in Charlotte or any other area of North Carolina or upstate South Carolina, our professional pick up drivers will come right to your house, apartment, or office to collect donations of used clothing and household items. These contributions help NKS support kidney disease awareness and education programs initiated by the National Kidney Foundation.

 Simply contact us at 704-393-5780 or fill out our online form to add your name and phone number to our regular donation call list. Approximately every four to six weeks, you will be contacted by an NKS representative inquiring if you have items to donate and need pick up service. Here’s what you need to know:

• Standard weekday donation pickups take place Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to dark.
• Expedited pickups and special Saturday collections are available upon request.
• Drivers can pick up donations if you are not at home, but they are not permitted to enter your home to collect items.
• Donations should be packed in bags or boxes that are clearly labeled with “NKS.” Drivers cannot pick up unlabeled items.
• On the evening before your scheduled pick up, just put your donations outside in a clean, dry place where they will be visible from the road.
• Drivers will leave a tax receipt for your convenience, as all contributions to NKS are tax deductible.*

You can make a charitable donation of men’s, women’s, or children’s clothing, small appliances, electrical items, large and small furniture, silverware, glassware, cookware, decorative items, books, toys, linens, and much more. Donate via the NKS pick up service, or bring your items to any Value Village thrift department store in Charlotte, Gastonia, Kannapolis, and Mooresville.
