Donating to NKS Is Convenient – Donate Clothing and Pick Up Service is Free for Residents of Charlotte & Beyond
 National Kidney Services (NKS) accepts donations of used household items and clothing. Our pick up service is absolutely free, so you never need to worry about packing up your car, finding a donation location, or going out of your way to drop off your contributions. The donation process is as simple as going through your closets, basement, or attic, finding items and garments that you no longer want, and contacting NKS so that we can make a donation pick up.
The donated clothing that we pick up is turned into proceeds that go directly to the National Kidney Foundation, a nonprofit health organization that has made great strides in the fight against chronic kidney disease. NKF offers a variety of free screening programs for at-risk individuals – those with diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and associated conditions – so that they can find the resources and information they need to stay healthy.
To make a donation by requesting a clothing pick up from NKS, simply contact us at 704-393-5780 or fill out our online form to add your name and phone number to our regular donation call list. We gladly accept the following items:
- Men’s, women’s, and children’s clothes
- Silverware, glassware, and flatware
- Cookware and serving utensils
- Shoes and accessories
- Small and large furniture
- Small appliances
- Decorative items
- Electronics
- Books
- Toys
- And more
All donations to NKS are tax deductible*. Your donation pickup driver will leave a tax receipt for you upon collecting your items, or you can bring your donations to any Value Village department thrift store and obtain a tax receipt at that location.
